Step 1
Run shock cord through one hole on the cover. Secure with an overhand knot.
Step 2
Place the cover on the light with the tab inward towards the barrel.
Loop the shock cord around the light or scope mount and through the other hole in the cover. Secure with an overhand knot. Adjusting this knot will adjust the overall tension.
Step 3
Let the cover hang, turn 180 degrees so that the tab is on the outside.
Step 4
Pull the cover over the end of the light or scope. The cover should fit snugly.
Step 5
Place the elastic band around the body of the light or scope.
Step 6
Test by flipping the cover open. The cover should clear the light head and be retained against the side of the light body.
Step 7
Replace the cover, trim shock cord and burn the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying.
